We are currently three points behind Salford, with four games in hand. After the disappointment of our trip to Padiham falling foul to the weather last week, it is hoped the game tomorrow will go ahead despite Bishop Auckland’s last two games at Heritage Park both being postponed.

Simon Hahn brings us his weekly round up Darlington regained top spot in the league this week despite our game at Kendal on New Year’s Day being abandoned after just fifteen minutes. On Saturday we were made to work hard by Brighouse Town, but came away with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from captain Gary Brown and David Dowson.
Throughout the course of a season no team can be expected to be at their best at all times with Saturday one such occasion for Darlington, eventually overcoming their sluggishness by finding a way to win.

Despite falling behind to a goal from Alistair Waddecar, goals from Graeme Armstrong and Amar Purewal turned the game in our favour. The 2-1 victory keeps us second in the table and extends our unbeaten run in the league to twelve games.
