The official Darlington website last week passed 300,000 hits since it was introduced in March, a magnificent achievement.

The website, designed by Geonet Solutions, has become very popular amongst Darlington followers all over the world, not just in Europe, but also in Argentina, Paraguay, Russia and China. There have been over 100,000 unique users along the way.

There have been a minimum of 500 hits per day, with the peak being the play off period against Spennymoor and Bamber Bridge when over 7,000 hits per day were recorded.

The website, which is the club’s official means of communicating breaking news to the fans, is updated by several voluntary contributors seven days per week, and includes a variety of information, including the very popular match highlights.

Director Dave Mills said; “To reach 300,000 hits inside the first six months is nothing short of phenomenal. It is a testament to all our volunteers behind the website, without whom we couldn’t provide the service.

“Our previous website was very good, but this one, designed by Geonet Solutions, is even better. This one is more responsive and more user-friendly.

“We hope that its success continues to grow, especially with the new season is upon us.”

The club would like to thank all the volunteers who help with the website, and the fans for supporting it.
