AFC Fylde earned some revenge on Chorley, as they came from behind to win 3-1 to keep themselves clear at the top of the league table. Adam Blakeman gave Chorley the lead in the first minute of the second half, but goals from Dom Collins, Dan Bradley and Andy Bond earned all the points for Fylde. The game had been stopped for over 15 minutes following a serious head injury to Chorley striker Marcus Carver.
Kidderminster Harriers came from behind to beat Worcester City and remain six points behind leaders Fylde. Junior English gave Worcester a lead in the first half, but James McQuilkin and an own goal earned Harriers all three points.
Salford City moved up into the playoffs after a 2-0 win at Bradford PA. Former Hartlepool player James Poole scored both of the Ammies goals.
Tamworth lost for the second time in a week to a Nuneaton Town side that are on a fantastic run. Jordan Nicholson scored the only goal of the game in the 39th minute. The result saw Tamworth drop out of the top five, with Nuneaton moving up to 14th.
Stockport County missed the chance to move up to sixth, as they were held in bizarre circumstances by Harrogate Town. Michael Clarke appeared to have won the game for County, but in the final minutes Gary Stopforth’s back pass from the half way line, was missed by goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe allowing the ball to roll into the empty net.
FC United were held at home by bottom of the table Altrincham. Jason Gilchrist gave FC United the lead, but Andy Owens earned a point and a 1-1 draw for Altrincham.
Boston United came from behind to win 2-1 at Gainsborough Trinity. James Reid gave Trinity the lead from the penalty spot, but Jay Rollins and a stoppage time winner from Josh Robinson earned the Pilgrims the points.
The final game yesterday saw Alfreton Town beat Telford United 3-2. Mark Shelton and Craig Westcarr put Alfreton in control, before a Josh Wilson penalty kept the visitors in the game. Paul Marshall extended Alfreton’s lead, which meant John-Paul Kissock’s late goal for Telford was only a consolation.
