Darlington U12's 2 Whitelees U12's 3
Both teams started out quite slow but containing the pressure. After a few minutes Jack Harland had a couple of chances but the weather conditions were not to his favour and the keeper swept up the shots. Darlington continued to apply pressure and won a free kick on the edge of the box. Ethan Routledge took it and it flew into the back of the net like it had a homing device to go there.
Half time: Darlington U12's 1-0 Whitelees U12's.
After the entertaining first half the second brought all of the first half’s action and a little bit more, with attacks coming from the right and left for both teams. Darlington had the more deadly attack in the end with a great through ball being delivered by Callum McCrae to Dylan Nicholson and it was in the back of the net in seconds. Whiteleas started to push forward a lot more, a scrappy first goal made it 2-1, followed by a scuffed shot and finally sealed the win with a great individual piece of skill by their striker!
