Steve Johnson junior chosen for England practice game

Striker playing in match tomorrow

Darlington youngster Steve Johnson junior has been chosen to play in an England practice game tomorrow.

Steve, who has been outstanding for our Under 18s team and for the County representative side, has been invited to play for England Schoolboy Under 18s in a practice match against UCFB at the Etihad Campus in Manchester on Sunday.

His dad, Steve, said; "I got a phone call from Ritchie Alderson, the manager, on Friday afternoon inviting Steve to attend. Obviously we accepted, and delighted that he's been chosen. If he does well, then hopefully he'll be part of the squad that plays Northern Ireland in Belfast next week."

Everyone at Darlington FC would like to wish Steve Junior all the best for tomorrow
