Second pre season friendly at Hebburn

Looking for another good performance

Darlington play their second pre season friendly when they go to Hebburn tonight.

Quakers started the friendly schedule with a comfortable 5-0 away win at Bishp Auckland on Friday night, with goals from Cedric Main, Cameron Salkeld (2), triallist Michael Ndiwini and summer signing Jack Maskell.

Manager Steve Watson said in his post match interview on Friday that he will probably once again give several triallists an outing at the Hebburn Sports Ground – Elliott Forbes, Johnny Haas, Belchior Rodrigues, Harrison Hopper, Archie Small, Alex Payne and Michael Ndiwini.

Quakers have been to Hebburn before, back in the Northern League season when they won 7-1. Amar Purewal scored twice that day, but he’ll be lining up for Hebburn tonight. He was the leading scorer in the NPL East last season, and also won the league’s player of the year award.

Since our Northern League games, Hebburn have won two promotions and are now in the the NPL Premier Division.
