The reserves are looking for their third successive win when they go to Hebburn Town Reserves in the Alan Hood Charity Cup on Saturday.

The reserves have won their first two Wearside League games against Prudhoe and Stokesley -- scoring eleven and conceding none -- and they're in the right frame of mind for the trip to South Tyneside.

"There's no way that we'll be easing off for this game because it's a cup tie," said joint manager Mark Fanning.

"We want to win this cup, and all the other competitions that we're involved in. There are four cups in this league as well as the league title, and we want to win them all. We are taking them all seriously.

"Winning is a good habit to have, because you can gather a lot of momentum."

It looks as if Kevin Burgess will play some part in the game -- he played for an hour the other night at Stokesley -- and Tom Portas could play another 90.
