The reserves had another great away win when they won 6-0 at Stokesley on Wednesday night to put them on top of the Wearside League table.
They included new signings Joe Wheatley and Jordan Richards, the pair of them playing the full 90 minutes, as well as Tom Portas on his road to recovery, and Kevin Burgess who played for an hour.
It was another commanding performance to give the reserves six points from two games, with eleven goals for and none conceded -- not a bad record at all.
Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “It was a one-sided win. We missed some good chances as well, and we weren't really bothered at the back. It's not a bad record to have after two games, but obviously there is a long way to go yet."
Joe Wheatley, whose registration finally came through yesterday afternoon, scored one of the goals, and MF said; "He was good, strong and busy in the first half, and he and Tom Portas established a good understanding in midfield. Tom played the full 90, which is the first time he has done in his comeback, and he thought that it was his best game so far. In every game, Tom has looked stronger."
Wheatley gave Quakers an early lead with a low shot from a corner, then Joey Beauchamp fired the second. Kevin Burgess showed his predatory instinct with a third from a few yards before half time.
In the second half, Lee Hume got the fourth from the edge of the box, then Jordan Richards got the fifth. Lewis Walton finished off a good move for the sixth.
The reserves are away to Hebburn Town in the Alan Hood Memorial Cup on Saturday.
