The reserves begin their run-in to the end of the season when they face Gateshead Leam Lane at Eastbourne on Saturday.

The lads have seven games remaining, and they’re targeting a top six finish which would be a great improvement on last season.

They’re currently sixth in the table, but they’ve played several games more than the teams around them, although they won’t be involved in a hectic three weeks game per week situation later in the season like some will.

Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “I think we probably need to win all our games to finish in the top six, but that’s possible because we ‘ve played all of the top teams now.

“This will be a tough game on Saturday against a physical team, whom we struggled against earlier in the season. It’s something that we’ll have to cope with. They knew how to play us last time.”

Ellis Tait and Billy Prudhoe will both be missing, but Dale Milburn and Lee Hume might be included in the squad.
