Quakers sign Oscar Taylor

Forward made debut at Buxton

Darlington have signed forward Oscar Taylor, on a dual registration basis from Consett.

After doing well in junior football, Oscar joined the academy at South Shields, who got to the third round of the FA Youth Cup.

He then went into the Northern League with Boldon CA, and scored almost a goal a game before joining Ryhope CW, whom he helped to win the Durham Challenge Cup.

After they folded, he joined Sunderland RCA, Newton Aycliffe and Consett, as well as playing college football in the USA.

He returned to Consett after his spell in the States, and they kindly agreed to dual register him with ourselves. The registration was accepted by the league just before the game at Buxton on Tuesday, and he came on as a scond half sub.
