Quakers at Dunston in last away friendly

Return for Jack to his old club

Darlington striker Jack Maskell returns to his previous club, Dunston, tonight.

As part of the transfer of the player between the clubs, Quakers agreed to play a friendly against Dunston, who are in the Northern Premier League East.

Jack raised his profile considerably when he played for Dunston in the NPL East play off semi final against Stockton at the end of last season, when he scored a brilliant hat trick, but still finished on the losing side after a shootout.

He scored 26 goals in 36 league and play off appearances for Dunston after joining them from Northern League Second Division club Horden.

Manager Steve Watson will include most of his new signings tonight, although one or two players are missing for various reasons.

The match at the UTS Stadium kicks off at 7.30pm. Dunston could include former Darlington midfielder Phil Turnbull in their squad.
