We travel to relegation threatened Stalybridge Celtic this weekend looking to bounce back after a disappointing draw at Worcester last weekend (writes Simon Hahn).

Despite young Harvey Saunders scoring a last minute equaliser, the 2-2 draw represented two points dropped against another of the sides in a relegation places.

A win would have seen us move up to fifth, but the draw leaves us in his seventh one point off the playoff places. Halifax’s defeat at Alfreton in midweek was a help to us.

Stalybridge are sat second bottom of the league and are now fifteen points off safety, but they have up to four games in hand on those around them. They have won just two games at home so far this campaign and have picked up more points away from home.

When we met earlier in the season a double from Liam Hardy along with goals from Josh Gillies and Stephen Thompson saw us come away from Heritage Park 4-1 winners.

Stalybridge were one of the founding members of the Conference North when the division was created in 2004 and they have remained in this league since.

They haven’t played a match since they lost to Salford City on the 18th of February. On Tuesday night they were due to host Kidderminster Harriers, but the game was postponed.

Stalybridge haven’t played since 18th February when they lost to Salford, because two games have been postponed. Their top scorer is Andy Owens with 5.

They have won two of their twelve home games this season, and drawn another. They have scored 14 goals and conceded 31.

Former Darlington striker Lee Gaskell joined them after he left us earlier in the season, but he has since gone back to Ramsbottom in the EvoStik League.
