Quaker TV ends the season on a record high!

Great viewing figures for QTV

Quaker TV ended a fantastic first season by setting some records on Saturday!

Even though we unfortunately lost our FA Trophy quarter final tie against Hornchurch last Saturday, a record 1,243 people watched the game on Quaker TV, which was two more than the abandoned Boston home game in November.

Here are some other record-breaking stats:

  • A total of 12,323 home and away fans watched Darlington FC’s 13 home league, FA Cup and FA Trophy matches, an average of 948 per game.
  • The average home fan stream for league matches was 951.
  • The average home fan stream for all matches was 845.
  • On six occasions, more than 1,000 fans watched Quaker TV – against Kidderminster, Boston, Telford, Bradford PA, Spennymoor and Hornchurch
  • Last Saturday, 1,032 Darlington fans watched the stream, the first time more than 1,000 have watched this season. The previous best was 976 against Bradford PA.
  • 202 Darlington fans watched every game we streamed
  • 1,857 unique fans watched at least one game

Darlington chief executive officer David Johnston said; “Quaker TV has been a massive hit this season. The production has been first class, and with all the features that are involved, it has achieved a high standard that is easily comparable to those in the Football League. Quaker TV has also been a valuable income stream while we played behind closed doors.

“The commentary, camera work and direction have all been excellent, and everyone at Darlington FC would like to thank Stuart Armstrong, Kevin Luff, Michael Price, Keith Lowis, Andrew Scullion, Nick Smith, Andy Walker, Andrew Simpson, Jordi Burton, Karl Bainbridge, Ben Pearson, Oli Armstrong, Tom Hunt, Craig Stoddart, Alex Holland, Wayne Raper, Chris Stockdale and many others for their efforts on behalf of Quaker TV throughout the season.”

The 2020-21 season has now finished, but we intend to continue with Quaker TV next season, and are exploring the possibilities during the summer.

We would like to thank everyone who watched the lads on Quaker TV this season.
