Karl has provided more programmes for the 1956-57 season from his collection:
We were 18th in the table before we went to Barrow on 24th September and lost 3-1
After beating Stockport County at home, we lost 4-2 at Accrington Stanley
but we bounced back by winning 2-1 at Carlisle, Kenny Morton scoring both goals (The game was played on 9th October, the original game in August was postponed)
We lost 2-1 at Hartlepool on 20th October
Our away form worsened, we were thumped 7-3 at Mansfield on 3rd November
