It all started to go wrong in the new year of 1956.
We lost 2-0 at Workington on 7th January
And then we lost to Chester
We were still midtable after losing to Carlisle and then drawing with Wrexham, but we bounced back with a 4-1 home win over Bradford PA.
We also beat Mansfield 3-1 on 18th February 1955
But then the season started going wrong after the 1-1 draw at Crewe on 25th February 1956
