Karl Alexander has sent us some more images of Darlington FC programmes from the 1953-54 season!
We were battling to stay out of the bottom two in the closing stages of the 1953-54 season.
On 27th March, we could only draw 0-0 at home to Rochdale.
After beating Chesterfield on 31st March, we lost 4-2 at Wrexham, to stay third bottom.
We lost 2-1 at home to Mansfield to stay on the edge of our seats
We had a big Easter coming up. On Good Friday, we drew 1-1 at Workington:
and over the rest of Easter we beat Workington 3-0 at Feethams and drew 2-2 with Barrow.
So beating Bradford City ensured that we finished 21st, the same as the previous season.
