Salford City were held at bottom of the table North Ferriby United, a result which saw the home team’s relegation confirmed. The Ammies played 60 minutes with ten men but Anthony Dudley gave them the lead before half-time. However, North Ferriby earned a point through James Nichols four minutes from full-time. Salford moved three points ahead of Harrogate who have a game in hand. North Ferriby’s relegation has been inevitable since the early months of the campaign, but the result meant they are the first side to drop out of the league for next season.

Stockport County moved into the top seven after a late 1-0 win at home to Boston United. Matthew Warburton scored the only goal of the game for County with five minutes left.

They moved ahead of Spennymoor who lost 3-1 at Chorley. An early double from Marcus Carver put Chorley in control, before an own goal on the hour mark gave the Brewers hope. However, Joshua O’Keefe sealed the victory in the final ten minutes for Chorley who moved level on points with Spennymoor Our North East neighbours have three games in hand on Chorley and four on Stockport who they trail by a point.

At the other end of the table two huge matches took place.

FC United of Manchester moved up to 15th and four points ahead of danger after a 1-0 victory against second bottom Gainsborough Trinity. Craig Lindfield scored the goal for FC United after 16 minutes. The result keeps Trinity three points from safety.

Telford United picked up a crucial win away to Alfreton Town. Marcus Dinanga scored the only goal for Telford, they stay in the relegation zone, but now only trail Curzon Ashton on goal difference. Alfreton are just one point better off.
