On Saturday we had our first postponement of the season, as our home game with bottom of the table Altrincham was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. Other results on Saturday saw us slip to eighth place in the league, four points off the final playoff place.

League leaders AFC Fylde were surprisingly held at home to Telford United, as their lead at the top of the table was cut to seven points. Dan Bradley gave Fylde the lead in the first half, however, new Telford signing equalised just after the break.

Kidderminster Harriers moved up to the second in the table after beating Curzon Ashton 3-2. Harriers were 3-0 up thanks to a double from James McQuilkin and a strike from Andrew Brown. However, they were made to hang on after goals from Ryan Hall and Jordan Wright gave Curzon hope. Kidderminster are now only seven points behind Fylde with two games in hand.

They moved above Salford City, after the Ammies fell to a 3-2 defeat at Gloucester. Luke Hopper put the hosts ahead, before Billy Priestley levelled for Salford just six minutes later. Joe Hanks regained Gloucester’s lead only for Mike Phenix to once again level for the visitors. However, in the 74th minute Hopper grabbed his second of the game to steal the points for Gloucester.

Chorley are fourth after earning what could be a crucial point at FC United of Manchester. Jason Gilchrist, Matt Wolfenden and Nathan Lowe all scored in the first half to put FC United three ahead. However, Marcus Carver, Robbie McDaid and Sams Sheridan netted without reply to make the final score 3-3.

Halifax Town moved up to fifth after a 2-0 win over Nuneaton Town.  Adam Morgan kept up his fantastic form for the Shayman, as he scored both goals for them either side of half time.

They moved above Stockport County who were held to a 1-1 draw at Alfreton.  Josh Amis gave Stockport the lead, but Liam Hearn earned a point for the hosts in stoppage time. Stockport are now behind Halifax on goal difference and have also played a game more.

Tamworth are a point behind Halifax and Stockport after a 2-1 win against Brackley Town.  Paul Green and Reece Styche put Tamworth in control and they held on for the win despite a late Matt Lowe goal for Brackley.

Harrogate Town are six points off the playoffs after a 3-0 win at home to Worcester. Simon Ainge,  Danny Ellis and Louise Swain scored the goals that leave Town in ninth place in the table.

Bradford PA moved level on points with fourth bottom Worcester after a 5-1 victory over Gainsborough Trinity. Nicky Wroe scored twice for Bradford along with goals from Danny Boshell,  Oli Johnson and Chris Sharp. Chib Chilaka had at one stage equalised for Trinity, but the defeat leaves them just one point ahead of the relegation places.
