On Saturday we drew 0-0 at home to Guiseley to extend our unbeaten run to five matches, the point kept us 14th in the table.
Chorley are now only top of the table on goal difference, following a third straight defeat in a row at home to Spennymoor. Elliot Newby put Chorley ahead, but goals in four second half minutes from Joe Atkinson and Glen Taylor gave the Brewers a very impressive 2-1 win. It lifted Spennymoor to third only one point behind Chorley.
Bradford PA are level on points with Chorley after beating York City 4-1 away from home. Former Quaker Joe Tait was sent off after 25 minutes conceding a penalty in the process which Jake Beesley converted. Beesley then added a second before Jamie Spencer made it 3-0. Sean Newton pulled one back for York before Ben Mckenna capped off a fantastic afternoon for Bradford PA in the final ten minutes.
Kidderminster missed the chance to go top after being stunned by Southport who moved off the bottom of the table. Jack Sampson scored twice for Southport with Jason Gilchrist and Dion Charles also scoring for the visitors inside the first 35 minutes. James O’Connor pulled one back for Harriers but it did not stop them falling to a shock 4-1 defeat at home.
Fifth placed Brackley and sixth placed Chester could not be separated as they played out a 2-2 draw. Connor Franklin and Shane Byrne twice put the hosts ahead, but on both times Daniel Mooney brought Chester level.
Boston United are in the final playoff spot but dropped two points at struggling Ashton United. Ryan Qualter gave the Pilgrims and early lead, but Liam Tomsett equalised two minutes from time to earn Ashton a 1-1 draw.
Telford could have ended the day in fifth, but like Boston were held to a 1-1 draw on the road. Shane Sutton gave them the lead at Alfreton, but Jordan Sinnott grabbed a point for the hosts.
Bottom of the table Nuneaton lost 2-0 at home to Leamington. Colby Bishop and Kieran Dunbar scored the goals for the Brakes before the half time.
FC United of Manchester picked up a crucial 3-0 win at Blyth Spartans. Kurt Willoughby and Thomas Peers scored twice in two minutes for FC United, before Lewis Mansell sealed the win in stoppage time.
Hereford are only out of the bottom three on goal difference after conceding an injury time equaliser at home to Altrincham. James Roberts put the Bulls ahead, before Joshua Hancock levelled for Alty just before full time.
In the final game of the weekend Stockport County won 2-0 at Curzon Ashton. Samuel Walker and Elliot Osborne scored the goals for County either side of half time.
