My 2015 memories -- Nathan Cartman
By Ray Simpson
In a series to kick off the New Year, we asked players and fans to give us their best memories of 20...
Today, it's Nathan Cartman.
The play off final and winning promotion.
When Gary Brown’s throw was coming into the box, I knew Alan White would win the ball, and I gambled on where it was going to drop and just got away from the defender ready. It came exactly where I was hoping and I caught it just right.
The first thing I said when I came to Darlington was that I wanted to win promotion, and to experience days like the ones against Spennymoor and Bamber Bridge. That win against Bamber Bridge was probably the best in my football career so far. That’s how much it meant to me.

Scoring the winning goal at Scarborough.
We were 1-0 down in that game, then Liam Hatch equalised, and I scored the winner after the Scarborough fans chanted “what a waste of money”. Then the celebrations with everyone jumping on club photographer Tim Hickman.

My other great memory is my karaoke on the bus coming back from Colwyn Bay. Although I was awful, it was a good laugh.
