Darlington will field a full strength squad tonight in their latest friendly at Northern League club Billingham Synthonia.
Quakers have won their first two friendlies at Buxton and Harrogate RA in the first week of pre season, and then on Saturday they had a training day at Catterick Garrison.
Manager Martin Gray said; “I want to give the full first team squad a run out tonight. There have been plenty of pluses in our pre season build up so far, and I want to continue that progression.
“The players had a very good day on Saturday in terms of building fitness and team bonding, and hopefully we’ll see the benefits of that tonight.”
Gary Brown, who had to receive hospital treatment for a facial injury after the game at Buxton, is fine again and he’ll be included tonight.
The game will provide an opportunity for Darlington fans who haven’t yet travelled to either Buxton or Harrogate RA to see the new signings in action.
Quakers faced Synners twice in the Northern League season, winning on both occasions. They’ve had a change of manager since, Conrad Hillerby has taken over from Lee Tucker. They have also dropped down to the Northern League second division.
Quakers’ next friendly after tonight is at home to a Newcastle United XI at the Arena on Saturday.
