First home game for the Academy

League Cup action at Billingham Town

The Darlington FC Academy plays its first home game of the season on Wednesday when they play Kidderminster in the League Cup at Billingham Town.

Bad weather has seen several games in league and cup postponed this season, but now the lads are raring to go.

Head of youth Paul Thomas said; “It’s been a nightmare with cancelled games but the lads are chomping at the bit to get out and impress. Our season starts here and we will have a few busy weeks coming up but everyone is pushing in the same direction so hopefully we can hit the ground running and set off as we mean to continue.”

The lads have been doing well in training, and they will benefit from the experience of playing against Kidderminster.

The match at Bedford Terrace TS23 4AF, kicks off at 1pm. Why not pop along and watch the youngsters, then go to the Trophy tie in the evening?
