As such, this presents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate(s) - who should also be able to demonstrate personal drive, initiative and excellent interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate(s) should be fully DBS checked and ideally be able to commit to the position for all home match days during the 2015-16 season. This is a volunteer role, and the club would be happy to provide future references for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible to Andrew Alton, DFC’s Schools and Community Programme Manager, and will help to ensure the achievement of the Club’s youth and community objectives. The young peoples’ match day experience currently consists of; meet the DFC manager Martin Gray on arrival, a visit to the dressing room to meet the players before the match, a stadium tour, to provide a guard of honour for the players as they enter the pitch for the match and a half time penalty shoot-out.
Key accountabilities of the Schools and Community Match Day Programme Assistant
- To help lead, manage and supervise groups of young people at home match days
- To work closely with and report to the Schools and Community Programme Manager in maximising the match day experience for young people
- Help to provide a high quality match day experience for groups of young people
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding young people and the health and safety requirements of a safe working environment

Working Hours
Match days only: There are approximately 25 match days in total between August 2015 and May 2016. Most match days are on Saturdays, although several match days will be on Tuesday evenings.
- Saturdays 1.15pm – 5.00pm
- Tuesdays 6.00pm – 9.30pm
