Darlington sign Ali Alshabeeb

Attacking midfielder joins the club

Darlington have signed 24 year old attacking midfielder Ali Alshabeeb.

Ali started his career at Newton Aycliffe when they were in the Northern League in 2018, and then he moved to Consett, where current Darlington assistant manager Terry Mitchell was manager.

He played for Consett for two seasons, and helped them to the 2020 Vase final, in which he scored but finished on the losing side.

He then moved to the team that beat Consett in that final, Hebburn, but was injured and went for treatment in Saudi Arabia.

On his recovery from injury, he played for Al Sahei and Al Quaisumah before returning to England in June.

He has also represented England Universities.

We would like to welcome Ali to the club, and wish him every success.
