Come to Blackwell Meadows and cheer us on to joint third in the table!

On Wednesday night we look to make it three home wins in a row against Bradford Park Avenue.

The game was due to be played last week, but was put back to this Wednesday after the pitch at Blackwell Meadows was waterlogged.

At the weekend we fought back from 3-1 down at Gainsborough Trinity to earn a draw with the last kick of the game. Despite Trinity being at the other end of the table fighting for their survival it took two late goals from David Syers including one in the sixth minute of stoppage time to grab a 3-3 draw.

The point put us seventh in the table, but we can go joint third on goal difference with Halifax Town and Salford with victory over Bradford.

On Saturday Bradford Park Avenue picked up an important 2-1 victory over bottom of the table Altrincham. The win moved them six points clear of the relegation zone.

Former Quaker Adam Nowakowski is now part of the Bradford squad after joining from ourselves earlier this season. Nowakowski, who can play in numerous positions, was highly rated by many of our fans, but struggled to nail a permanent place in our team down since he signed for us in the summer of 2015.

Bradford PA were unable to win any of their first 15 league games this season, but Mark Bower, another former Quakers came in as manager in September and has helped turn the side’s fortunes around, and they are steadily climbing away from relegation trouble.

This is their fifth season in the National North, last year they finished 14th in the league table.

Quakers won the reverse fixture at the Horsfall Stadium earlier in the season, thanks to two late goals.
