Darlo boss Alun will be facing his eldest son Luke, who joined Harrogate during the summer after moving from Salford. He played the second half of the season on loan to Hartlepool, whom he helped to promotion.

Team news: Keeper Tommy Taylor received a knock in the chest against Newcastle and received treatment from physio Danny, but he should be fine.

Defender Kallum Griffiths didn’t play on Saturday because of a slight groin injury, and hopes to be fit.

Harrogate are about to start their second season as a Football League club after winning the National League play offs in 2020. They also won the delayed 2020 FA Trophy final at Wembley by beating Concord Rangers.

We know that there are different views regarding the use of facemasks, but we urge all supporters to respect one another, and safely celebrate the return of football in front of fans. We’ve all missed football, which is why we should now enjoy games and each other’s company all the more.
