Alex Forsyth

Former player passes away

The club is sad to learn about the death of our former player, Alex Forsyth.

Alex signed for us in September 1952 from Falkirk, and made his debut for us in the 0-0 draw at home to Carlisle United on 17th September 1952.

He went on to make 26 league appearances for us, scoring seven times before he moved back to Scotland and joined East Stirling, whom he served as player and director for many years. He was reckoned to be East Stirling's longest surviving club player until his death.

Our sincere condolences go to his family and friends.
