Matt Elliott is the latest star to agree to play in Sunday’s MarathonBet #NonLeagueChallenge Legends game.
Centre half Matt worked his way up the football ladder to become a very successful centre half with Leicester City.
After making one appearance for Charlton Athletic, he was released and went to Torquay United where he stayed for three seasons, making over 100 appearances.
He was then signed by Scunthorpe for £50,000 in March 1992, then Oxford United for £150,000 in November 1993, before joining Leicester City for £1.6 million in January 1997.
He made nearly 300 appearances for Leicester over eight seasons, scoring both goals in their 2000 League Cup final win over Tranmere. He retired from the game in 2005 because of a knee injury.
In total, he started 709 games in his career, scoring 85 goals, and another 18 appearances for Scotland between 1997 and 2001.
The match kicks off at 2pm, and you can pay on the gate -- £10 adults, £5 for concessions and Under 16s, free for under 5s
